Peña la Rosa wines in Ábalos
Innovation and tradition go hand in hand in this winery born on year 1989when the family decides to undertake the sale of labelled wines. Up to this point, our parents had made wine to sell to other large wineries that knew how to market it, a common activity in Ábalos.
As we like to tell you, we are characterised by our carbonic maceration winestraditional production, which we have never wanted to abandon, and we are committed to that "old freshness".The youthfulness and that so much sought after now, the ease of enjoyment they provide us with and for keeping those old vines on such old slopes that they give us. white wines for ageing that express terroir on their own.
Our grapes are always harvested by hand, with selection in the vineyard and the transfer to the warehouse is in boxes of 10 kilos for small projects or trailers of no more than 3500 kilos, always looking for the best way of transport. the best possible grape.
Ábalos, a village in La Rioja Alta
Ábalos is one of three villages in La Rioja on the left bank of the river Ebro.
