Bodegas Betolaza in the know-how of 3 generations
Our family has always been dedicated to the cultivation of vines, making wine in the old cellar of our own house in Briones.
In 2000, the brand was created "Betolaza marketing only young red wines. It is in 2006, when we built a small family wineryWe are starting a new project. We are now in our third generation.
Our philosophy is harvesting all the grapes by hand at the optimum time of ripening, selecting and allocating the grapes from our own vineyards to the right wine.
The fine wine is gestated on the vine!
Our vineyards are small plots of land located in BrionesMost of them are located in clay-limestone soils with an Atlantic influence climate. Each one of them, depending on the variety, terroir and age, gives the grape its own personality.

Briones is considered one of the most beautiful villages in Spain with an old town where history in the air and an environment from which to enjoy the wine landscape of La Rioja Alta in all its splendour.
