Section 1: Lardero - Viniegra de Arriba
Although each biker can choose from which point of the route to start the route, in this article, we are going to start from Lardero, which, for those who do not know La Rioja, is a town in the metropolitan area of Logroño.
We quickly pass to the banks of the river Iregua which leads us to the village of Train on the LR-254 to leave this locality on the LR-541 until you reach Sojuela.
From Sojuela take the LR-341 which will take you through the villages of Daroca de Rioja, Hornos de Moncalvillo, Sotes y Suction cup.

Leaving Ventosa behind, the LR-341 takes you to the N-120 which brings you to the town of Alesón which stays on your left and leads you to the LR-136. (If you need to refuel you must continue a few metres along the N-120 before joining the LR-136).
From the LR-136 you leave on your right the village of Tritium and take the LR-113 road that will lead you to the village of Baños de Río Tobía. (There is a petrol station open from 7am to 10pm at the exit of the road).
Continuing on the LR-113 you cross the villages of Bobadilla and Anguiano going into a mountainous area. You will come to a turn-off that you can take if you want to approach the monastery of Nuestra Señora de Valvanera, Patron Saint of La Rioja.
Following the motorbike route along the LR-113 you must reach the following road petrol station from 8h to 20h where you must turn left onto the LR-333 which will take you to Viniegra de Abajo.

If crossing Viniegra de Abajo made your eyesight happy, arriving at Viniegra de Arriba will leave you open-mouthed. If there is one village on this route where it is worth stopping the motorbike and wandering through the streets, it is Viniegra de Arriba.

Section 2: Viniegra de Arriba - Jalón de Cameros
Back on the bike it's time to climb the Montenegro pass and cross the province of Soria, arriving at Montenegro de Cameros, the only village in the Sierra de Cameros that does not belong to La Rioja.
Without leaving the LR-333 we return to the lands of La Rioja and arrive at the village of Villoslada de Cameros after which we change the LR-333 for the N-111 which leads us to Villanueva de Cameros where we have another 24h self-service petrol station (card payments only).

At Villanueva we leave the N-111 and head a little further into the mountains along the LR-232, which offers impressive views of the El Rasillo reservoir. Following the LR-232 you reach the village of Ortigosa de Cameros, however, our route asks us to take LR-253 which brings you close to the Club Nautico and takes you to the village of El Rasillo.
In El Rasillo we count on one of our hosts Entrebosques Rural House, the perfect place to stay in a group or in single rooms.
Leaving El Rasillo de Cameros behind, the LR-253 takes you to the N-111, which you take for 850 metres until you reach the LR-245, which takes you to Almarza de Cameros, Muro en Cameros y Jalón de Cameros.
Section 3: Jalón de Cameros - Lardero
In Jalón de Cameros you will take the LR-250 which will take you to San Román de Cameros, Terroba y Soto en Cameros.

You are in the heart of the valley of the River Leza and a few kilometres from Soto en Cameros you will find the signpost to the Viewpoint of the Cañón del Río Leza, spectacular views and well worth a stop to stretch your legs for.

Following the LR-250 you will pass on the right hand side of the road Leza de Río Leza and leaving the sierra behind you, you will arrive at the village of Ribafrecha where the landscape changes completely to a cultivated area.
The LR-250 brings you closer to Villamediana de Iregua where you take the LR-255 to Alberite from where the LR-254 will take you back to Lardero.
At this point you can continue by Avenida de Madrid to the Las Gaunas petrol station.
And so far this exciting motorcycle route through the mountains of La Rioja with landscapes that will not leave you indifferent.
