La Bodeguita Escondida is perhaps the smallest winery in terms of production in the whole of La Rioja. Located in the village of Hervías to the boundary of the Designation of Origin.

The curiosity about the world of wine based on the aromas and flavours of grapes led to the recovery of an old family winery dating back to 1850, which had been closed since 1960. Thus began the winemaking in this draft The experience was so pleasant that in 2019 we registered as another DOC RIOJA winery.

However, it all started in 2005 when we got to know the Aove de Almazara Ecológica de La Rioja and we fell in love with this product. What led us in 2006 to plant olive trees in Hervías. A total of 5 hectares who gave its first harvest 10 years later. From there we made the leap to the world of wine.

During the visit we will go down to the WORK AREAwhere we will explain how and why we do what we do, and then we will go up to the enjoyment zone and check whether all the care we put into the wines is worth it or not.

We will taste 2 signature wines, a barrel-aged white or rosé and our Ama y Ensancha el Alma red, as well as our organic oil. We will accompany the tasting with some snacks. Price: 20 (Duration: 2 hours)

Wines and Oil of La Bodeguita Escondida

Ama y Ensancha el Alma Tinto: With intense notes of black fruits together with the subtlety and finesse provided by the Tempranillo (80%) and the liveliness of Garnacha (10%) and Graciano (10%). Dand clay-limestone soils.

Love and Broaden the White Soul: 95% Viura and 5% Garnacha. Aged in new French and acacia oak barrels for 9 months. It stands out for its round and elegant texture in the mouth with subtle notes of white flowers.

Ama y Ensancha el Alma Rosado: Made from red grapes 100% (98% grenache and 2% tempranillo) and worked for 9 months in a used French and American oak barrel, which gives it a very gastronomic character with many nuances.

Garnishing: An implosion of red and black fruits that blends in perfect harmony with the spicy notes of 9 months of ageing in a new 300-litre French oak barrel and the liveliness of the grape variety. Grenache (100%) of the same plot of land on calcareous-clay soil

Olea Jacta Est: Oil of variety "Redondilla native to La Rioja and grown at an altitude of 650 metres. in organic farming. The nectar from this juice gives off aromas It is reminiscent of freshly cut grass, artichoke, tomato plant... and on the palate it is reminiscent of dried fruits such as almonds and walnuts, with a faint spicy sensation on the finish.
